Celebrate National Ice Cream Day with a Lo-Cal Sundae!
Jul 15, 2023
Ice cream sundae featured on red card with short bowl in red and chocolate ice cream and fudge and a cherry made with Stampin' Up!'s Share a Milkshake stamp set and coordinating dies

Today is National Ice Cream Day according to my FB calendar! While I’ve been sharing quite a few ice cream cards made with Stampin’ Up!’s Share a Milkshake stamp set and coordinating dies, I couldn’t let today pass without sharing just one more.

This card was originally created as part of my Share a Milkshake bundle class. Each month, I feature a stamp set and punch/die bundle and if you purchase it, I send 5 card kits and a link to a Zoom class so that you can put your purchase to use right away. I record the class and share the link in case you can’t make it live, and I also send a pdf tutorial so you don’t even need to get online if you don’t want to. Check out my class calendar to see my upcoming bundle classes, and my class page for all my class offerings.

For now, here are the details from the pdf tutorial for this card.

Ice Cream Sundae Card Measurements:

· Real Red card base – 8 1/2” x 5 1/2”, folded at 4 ¼”

· Basic White – 4” x 5 1/4” (2—one is embossed with Dots 3-D embossing folder from Basics 3-D), 2 1/8” circle (Stylish Shapes), scraps for stamping

· Real Red – 2 1/2” x 2 1/2”

· Early Espresso – 2” x 4 3/4” flagged, scrap for die cutting

· Pecan Pie – 1/2” x 3”

Ice Cream Sundae Card Instructions:

1. Adhere Basic White panel to the inside of the Real Red card base.

2. Adhere the Dots embossed panel to card front. Add Early Espresso flagged strip to center of card front. Overlay near top of flagged strip with Real Red square. Adhere Basic White circle to center of the square.

3. On scraps of Basic White, stamp the bowl with Real Red, stamping off first to get the lighter shade. Stamp bowl detail full strength on top. Separately, stamp the small ice cream in Pecan Pie, and the cherry in Real Red. Die cut each with coordinating dies.

4. Die cut fudge topper with smaller die from an Early Espresso scrap. Assemble the bowl pieces on the center circle on card front using dimensionals (fudge topper is adhered with regular adhesive).

5. Stamp “celebrate” on Pecan Pie strip and flag ends, shortening to just span the flagged strip (2”). Adhere over flagged strip with regular adhesive.
