Easy Ladybug Card with Springtime Scenes Bundle + New Ink Sneak Peek

Stampin' Up! Springtime Scenes with ladybug background and element

If you’re looking for a cheerful springtime card that’s full of texture and charm, this week’s Quick Class project is one you’ll love.

In this class, I shared a card we recently made at one of my Stamp-a-Stack classes—and it was a favorite with everyone who attended. It combines layered details, a touch of dimension, and the cutest little ladybug for a design that’s both fun and versatile.

🎥 Watch the Replay

This card starts with a Garden Green card base and builds up from there with layers of texture and color.

The embossed background using the Ladybug Picnic embossing folder adds instant interest, while a simple strip of patterned paper brings in just the right pop of red to tie in the ladybug focal point.

The real star of the card is the Springtime Scenes bundle, which includes detailed dies that let you create layered elements like the ladybug and leaves with ease.

Details That Make the Card Special

What really brings this design together are the thoughtful details:

  • Layered die-cut ladybug for dimension and contrast
  • Textured embossed background for added interest
  • Leaf elements that create a soft, natural frame
  • Stitched label die for a polished sentiment piece
  • Pressed flower embellishments for a subtle finishing touch

These small elements work together to create a card that feels complete without being complicated.

New Hybrid Black Ink Sneak Peek

I also shared a look at the new hybrid black ink pad coming in the upcoming catalog on May 5th.

This ink is designed to be a versatile option for stamping, with a firm surface and a quick-drying formula. It’s also replacing some previous black ink options that have been difficult to keep in stock.

One helpful tip:
Instead of lifting the lid straight up, open it from the side like a book—it makes it much easier to use.

Don’t Miss These Details

  • The pressed flower embellishments used on this card are currently on the Last Chance list
  • They add a beautiful finishing touch and are worth grabbing while still available
  • This is also a great time to take advantage of double rewards on qualifying orders

This design is a great reminder that:

  • Texture adds depth without extra bulk
  • Simple layouts can still feel detailed and layered
  • A strong focal point (like the ladybug) ties everything together
