Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, is happening next week. Wondering what to send for the holiday? An appropriate greeting is L’Shana Tova, which is Hebrew and literally means “for a good year.” It is often shorthand for the longer expression:
“L’shana tova tikateivu” (לְשָׁנָה טוֹבָה תִּכָּתֵבוּ)
“May you be inscribed [in the Book of Life] for a good year.” (Thank you Chat GPT!)
Stampin’ Up! has a wonderful stamp set for general Jewish events called Mazel Tov. I was fortunate to be on a brainstorming committee to help come up with appropriate phrases and images, and we were thrilled with the results! Somehow, though, it’s my first use of the set.
For my Quick Class Live on 9/17/25, I created a sweet Rosh Hashanah card with the delights of the holiday, namely apples, honey and wine. By coloring with Stampin’ Blends and using pretty papers in the background, I was quite happy with how it turned out. Watch the video to hear more about how it came about:
