Easy Floral Card with Boutique Blossoms

Stampin' Up! Boutique Blossoms card using the new DSP and paper strips with a floral focal point in Crisp Cantaloupe

In this class, I’m sharing a floral card using the Boutique Blossoms bundle and the beautiful papers from the Bloom Boutique suite. It’s a design that really lets the paper shine while still adding a few layered details for a finished look.

Watch the Replay

This card starts with a Crisp Cantaloupe card base, paired with a White Willow panel inside and out to keep everything clean and bright.

The focal point of the design is a simple but effective background made from narrow strips of Designer Series Paper. Each strip is cut to the same size and arranged vertically, creating a soft, layered look that highlights multiple patterns at once.

Bloom Boutique Designer Series Paper

The real star here is the Designer Series Paper. Many of the patterns include gold foiling, which adds just the right amount of detail and shine without overwhelming the design.

You’ll also notice how beautifully the colors work together—this paper features several of the newer shades, making it easy to create coordinated projects without a lot of guesswork.

This card comes together with a few easy techniques you can use again and again:

  • Paper Strip Background – Using multiple patterned strips is a great way to showcase your paper stash and create interest without complicated layouts.
  • Layered Focal Point – A die-cut square placed on an angle adds just enough contrast and gives your eye a place to land.
  • Stamping over die cuts – Instead of stamping first, the flower is die cut and then stamped, making it easier to line up the image cleanly.
  • Dimension for depth – The flower and leaves are popped up with dimensionals to give the card a little lift and separation from the background.

To complete the card, a simple sentiment from the Banner Sayings set is added, along with a few of the new in color butterfly embellishments.

These small details add just enough texture and interest to finish the card without making it feel busy.

Why This Layout Works

  • Easy to recreate with any Designer Series Paper
  • Great for using multiple patterns in one project
  • Clean design with just enough layering
  • Works for many occasions with a simple sentiment swap
