Fun Fold Thank You Card with Scalloped Blooms
May 14, 2026
Stampin' Up! Scalloped Blossoms and Bloom Boutique in hydrangea hue with a simple fun fold

The Scalloped Blooms bundle and the Bloom Boutique Designer Series Paper come together beautifully in this easy fun fold thank you card featured in this week’s Quick Class.

This card combines layered paper, floral die cuts, and a simple fold to create a design that looks detailed but is surprisingly easy to make.

This thank you card starts with a fun fold base using the new Hydrangea Hue cardstock, one of the beautiful new in colors featured in the latest catalog.

The fold adds a little extra interest while still keeping the design clean and easy to recreate.

One of my favorite things about this card is how the Bloom Boutique Designer Series Paper really becomes the focal point. The soft floral patterns and subtle foiling do most of the work for you.

Scalloped Blooms Bundle Details

This project uses the Scalloped Blooms bundle, which includes:

  • Floral dies with layered stitching details
  • Coordinating scalloped labels
  • Versatile all-purpose sentiments

The dies layer beautifully together and are especially useful for classes, quick cards, and cards designed for beginner stampers or group crafting.

Techniques Featured in This Card

  • Fun Fold Card Base – The front fold creates dimension while still allowing the card to open easily and display all the layered elements.
  • Designer Series Paper Layering – Using multiple coordinating patterns helps create interest while keeping the card cohesive.
  • Layered Die Cuts – The stitched flower and leaves create a simple focal point that adds texture without complicated stamping.
  • Foil Die Cut Accent – A small gold circle die cut adds just enough shine and coordinates beautifully with the foiled paper patterns.

One of the tips shared during the class was how to smooth the small center “opening” left behind in detailed foil die cuts. Using the smooth edge of a bone folder helps flatten the area so it blends much more naturally into the metallic cardstock. It’s a simple little trick that makes a big difference.

To finish the card:

  • A layered “Thank You” sentiment was added
  • Small coordinating sequins provided sparkle and texture
  • Tiny die-cut leaves helped soften the focal point

The result is a polished thank you card that’s elegant without being overly complicated.
