The Sophisticated Sled bundle is one of the recently added Online Exclusive items, just in time for Christmas in July! This bundle includes a winter-themed stamp set and coordinating die cuts. Stamp your image and quickly cut it out. Or, several of the dies cut out paper pieces and assemble a sled or skates. Use different coloring tools to make each paper craft unique for your recipient.
As soon as I saw this new bundle, I knew I needed it! The die cuts are perfect for creating a card with very little stamping, which is sometimes what I really need. For my card below, I used the elements for the sled and the greenery, and added a few touches.
First, I determined I wanted to use the Winter Meadow DSP as my background, and I wanted the look of snow at the bottom. I took 3 separate strips of Basic White cardstock and tore the edges and layered them on top of each other. This is my go-to technique for winter cards :-).
Then I die cut the sled pieces – the frame in Early Espresso and the body in Pecan Pie. I carefully glued them together using Multipurpose Glue and added it to a matted panel set using regular adhesive (I use Stampin’ Seal), and then added all of this to the card front using dimensionals.
With Old Olive, I die cut the greenery to add to the top of the sled, and topped it off with a knot of Iridescent White Trim, adhered with a glue dot.
