Let’s Go Fishing Retirement Fun Fold Card
Apr 22, 2024
Stampin' Up! Let's Go Fishing Retirement card with 3 folds with lures on blue paper and fish

The soon-to-retire Let’s Go Fishing suite from Stampin’ Up! is the perfect set of products to use to make a retirement card for a man. This card also features a fun fold that makes it extra-special.

The suite, below, features lots of great elements including stamps, dies, designer series paper (DSP), and embossing folder. (All the elements can also be purchased separately.)

The trick to the fun fold is the scoring: The Boho Blue card base is 11″ x 4 1/4″, then scored at 2 1/2″, 3 3/4″, 6 3/4″ & 8 1/4″. You then adhere the DSP to the larger panels that result between the folds. And amazingly, it all folds back into a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ card!

Below are all the details for this card. For more ideas every month, be sure to sign up for my weekly newsletter at the bottom of this page. For info about my upcoming in-person and virtual classes, check out my class descriptions here and my calendar here. Thanks for checking this out!

  1. Using the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, cut the Tailor Made Tags from Vanilla & Pecan Pie.
  2. Cut the fish from the designer series paper.

    • Fold base on all score line, going back and forth
    • Adhere the DSP to their coordinating Pecan Pie mats.
    • The largest piece from above goes onto the first panel (prior to first score line). Fold next panel back. The 2nd piece then goes on the third panel. Fold next panel back. Final piece goes on the last panel.
